Welcome to Multiplex Time Machine.

This weekly limited-run series is based on the idea that 2007 was a surprisingly great year in modern movie history. It saw bad movies, good movies, and GREAT movies, but more than anything, it saw NOTABLE movies. Every episode of this show will look at a release from that same week 15 years ago, in 2007.

2007 gave us the one-two punch of Seth Rogen's arrival as a comedy heavyweight, first as a star with Knocked Up, then as a writer with Superbad. In Episode 33, we're taking a look at that second punch, and its original (and surprisingly sweet) take on the horny teen genre.

Superbad was directed by Greg Mottola from a screenplay by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and starred Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Emma Stone, Martha MacIsaac, Rogen, and Bill Hader.

Multiplex Time Machine is hosted by Jeremy Latour and Ian Averill.
