Welcome to Multiplex Time Machine.

This weekly limited-run series is based on the idea that 2007 was a surprisingly great year in modern movie history. It saw bad movies, good movies, and GREAT movies, but more than anything, it saw NOTABLE movies. Every episode of this show will look at a release from that same week 15 years ago, in 2007.

Not every movie needs to make a splash at the box office to be remembered. In this episode of Multiplex Time Machine, we're looking at the low-budget, low-earning, but well-regarded Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, originally released to general audiences on March 16, 2007.

Behind the Mask was directed by Scott Glosserman, from a screenplay by Glosserman and David J. Stieve, and starred Nathan Baesel, Angela Goethals, Scott Wilson, Zelda Rubinstein, and Robert Englund.

Multiplex Time Machine is hosted by Jeremy Latour and Ian Averill.
